The Unlikely Runner

Hi,
I’m Raji, and my foray into running began in my forties, far from the athletic tracks of my youth, in a culture where sports were admired from afar, not experienced firsthand.
Despite standing at only 5.1 feet and having no prior running experience, I found myself on a path less trodden, challenging the very fabric of my upbringing.

From Dreams
to Reality

Daring to dream big, I transitioned from being overlooked in school sports to completing my first marathon in 2018 and conquering one of the Himalayas’ highest peaks in 2019. These milestones were not just physical feats; they were transformative experiences that reshaped my understanding of what’s possible.

However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. Injuries, fatigue, and the onset of menopause put a damper on my accolades, forcing me to confront my limitations head-on.

This period of introspection and struggle led to a profound period of learning and growth.

It was through days and hours of research, reading, and talking to experts, coupled with surveys and data collection, that I discovered the principles of gentle running.

This holistic approach, focusing on physical, nutritional, and mental well-being, became the foundation of our unique MRP framework.
